Minutes of the Advisory Committee meeting for PGDCC programme

With the approval of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor the Advisory Committee meeting for PGDCC programme, comprising the following members is scheduled on 23rdMarch at 11.00 am in the seminar room of Ramam Bhawan/D- Block, Ground floor, New Academic Complex, IGNOU.

The agenda of the meeting are given below:

THE MEETING WAS PRESIDED BY PROF.A.K.AGARWAL

Dr.Rajesh Rajan (President IACC) presented the various issues faced by the PGDCC students and criterias for University approval. Various letter issued against practicing cardiologist were discussed in detail. Necessity of Common entrance test exam discussed. Various other issues for the welfare of PGDCC   students were discussed

 

Following are the decisions taken:

1.      As the students and passedout candidates in Kerala facing opposition from Indian Medical Association and the Travancore Cochin Medical Council, hence it was decided that IGNOU will write a official letter to IMA headquarters , State Chapters and to MCI and TCMC stating that PGDCC is a 2 year full time residency in cardiology and this programme is made with the permission of Central Government.

2.      Centralised entrance exams will be conducted

3.      Revision of syllabus is mandatory.
