Left Atrial Appendage Closure Workshop

LAA HONG KONG 2012 (Left Atrial Appendage Closure Workshop) to be held on 25-26 April 2012 in Shanghai and 27-28 April 2012 in Hong Kong. The meeting is organized by the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine & Therapeutics and Institute of Vascular Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), in collaboration with Mount Sinai School of Medicine, US and Semmelweis University, Asklepios Hamburge, Germany

Being the first of its kind in Hong Kong, the workshop will focus on the latest frontiers and clinical application of this novel transcatheter technique. Renowned experts and distinguished faculties around the world will share their expertise and experiences. Through plenary lectures, live demonstrations and discussions, we are confident this novel workshop will provide an excellent platform for interventionalists, electrophysiologists and physicians worldwide to exchange professional knowledge, skills and insights. Moreover, physicians are able to have hands-on experiences in both established and emerging LAA occluding devices at the Animal Workshop and to learn from the experts the interventional skills in congenital, structural and electrophysiological procedures through hospital showcases at centers of excellence in Shanghai.
